Dr. Joel Sebag, DPT
Joel is a licensed physical therapist with over 15 years of experience. He graduated from Cebu Doctors University, Philippines with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy and Boston University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Joel focused on obtaining advanced training that honed his skills in spine and orthopedic treatments, ensuring that our patients receive treatment methods and protocols that are evidence-based, clinically proven safe and effective.
Through his long career – as a therapist in an acute care facility, as a home health therapist, as director of rehab at skilled nursing facilities, as an owner of an outpatient clinic specializing in spine pain, joint degeneration, disease & injury and standardized testing to evaluate performance abilities – Joel’s top priority and focus is the patient. Joel believes that patient encounters are opportunities to know them, their life goals, their hobbies and interests. He believes that listening to his patients not only helps to make him a better physical therapist, but also a more compassionate, understanding human being. Joel is certified by the Matheson Program for Functional Capacity Evaluation and had a training for Active Release Technique for Spine .
Joel is committed to supporting and enriching physical therapy as a profession as a past Vice President for the Arkansas Physical Therapy Association in 2010 and as a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Moreover, he is a contributor to Pain Procedures in Clinical Practice, 3rd Edition, in which he wrote about therapeutic exercises. Joel is also an accomplished inspirational pianist who holds concerts throughout the area.
